Getting Back To React
When I attempted to back up my files the last time that I had issues with running Linux on my laptop I was unable to do so, and unfortunately lost a few files when I had to reset things. This time I wanted to try to be proactive, and so before I was going to try anything with React I went in to my settings, and found the option to back up the Linux files — thankfully it worked this time. With that part of the logistics taken care of, I figured the next thing to do would be to do an install of create-react-app.
I tried to think back to my first time running React, on any computer, to see if I could remember any parts of how I got it running for the first time, but sadly I was unable to come up with any concrete steps. Fortunately for me, with Node and npm already installed on my machine, it was not a complicated setup process. Turns out, that it was as simple as running the terminal command:
npx create-react-app app-name
For some reason I had been under the impression that it would have been a little bit more tricky to configure, but that really was all that I had to do. Once again, I backed up the files on my computer, and then was immediately ready to begin the next project!
